Welcome to SEN (website will be up shortly), a small and open research project to build a lightweight and intuitive semantic desktop infrastructure with Haiku, a small and promising open source OS. This is an innovative, fresh approach to the subject, so forget about slow and cumbersome efforts of the past and embrace a transparent solution directly integrated in the file system and the native file browser.

Imagine using your daily workplace, the desktop, like a personal knowledge management system, where your ideas, book notes, movie notes or favorite locations are stored as files with metadata kept in custom attributes, and you can navigate relations between them right from the file browser…
